Cancer

Cozaar has not been studied in people who are on ciclosporin (Narrow-ilot). However, the medication may be used for some types of cancers.

How to Use Cozaar

Dosage/Direction for Use

Standard/Adults:Renal/Adults: 25 mg losartan, 50 mg furosemide, or placebo;Para:40 mg losartan, 50 mg furosemide, or placebo.

Special Precautions

Contraindications

- Patients with arterial hypertension - For patients with arterial hypertension, angina prophylaxis with Losartan is recommended while receiving Losartan tablets.

- For the safe and adequate management of hypertensive disorders in patients with arterial hypertension, Losartan tablets are recommended.

Epidemiology

Guidelines recommending Losartan (Cozaar) as the dose of choice in patients with arterial hypertension recommend a starting dose of 25 mg losartan, 50 mg furosemide, or placebo. In patients with arterial hypertension, angina prophylaxis with Losartan is recommended while receiving Losartan tablets.- Losartan is contraindicated in patients with hepatic impairment (See LISRIs and contraindications).

Follow Prescribing Guidelines

Storage

If it is not effective for at least 2 days, losartan tablets are contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to furosemide or any component of this product.
